Toyota has started producing the all‑new Aygo X Hybrid at its Kolín plant in the Czech Republic, marking the first full‑hybrid model in Europe’s A‑segment.
Toyota’s Aygo X Hybrid delivers low CO₂ emissions and makes hybrid technology more accessible for city‑car drivers. Among non‑plug‑in cars in its segment, it achieves the lowest CO₂ output, with WLTP provisional figures around 86 g/km, and the hybrid powertrain produces 116 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds.
The Kolín plant, home to around 3,200 employees and sourcing roughly 65% of components locally, has produced over 4.5 million vehicles, including earlier Aygo and Yaris models. The launch also brings environmentally friendly production measures, such as optimized processes, new materials, and improved logistics.
This move is part of Toyota’s broader European electrification strategy. The Kolín facility is being prepared for future battery‑electric vehicle production, supporting the company’s long‑term commitment to carbon neutrality. With the Aygo X Hybrid, Toyota aims to offer an efficient, practical, and sustainable option for urban drivers.
